Another group of graduates congregated in Homebush for their “end of course” graduation ceremony. Close to 160 paramedics and call centre employees came together with members of the public, family and friends and Ambulance executives to acknowledge the hard work and determination required to become a fully qualified NSW Ambulance employee.
Key speeches were given by David Dutton BM ASM, Executive Director, Clinical Operations and Clare Beech ASM, Executive Director, Clinical Systems. The Senior Chaplain, Peter Van Praag, commenced the proceedings with an introductory talk followed by a moment of stillness and prayer. The audience also heard from key representatives from call-taker and paramedic classes.
Their was definitely a palpable energy of pride and accomplishment amongst the group of young graduates and their friends and family. Let’s not forget to mention the special appearance of the Ambulance mascot, “Bearamedic” who helped add colour and movement to the fun.
